RUSTORATION 2D

Experience the chaotic early days of the Zomborg infestation in RUSTORATION 2D! Originally a frantic coursework project made in Scratch, this version has been completely rebuilt and remastered in the Godot Engine. It's not just a port; it's an enhanced top-down shooter experience that serves as a direct prequel to the upcoming UE5 title, RUSTORATION.

Lore: Before the Rust

Long before the events that led to Sergeant's awakening in a ruined Germany, the Zomborg virus was just beginning its horrific spread. Initial reports spoke of incredibly fast, almost primitive Zomborgs – a far cry from the deteriorating, specialized forms seen later. This game chronicles the desperate stand of an early Android Military Unit against these initial waves.

In these early stages, android technology was less standardized. Parts salvaged from fallen Zomborgs – strange metallic feet enhancing servo speed, razor-sharp tungsten claws boosting damage output, and volatile power cores augmenting resilience – could be crudely integrated into existing systems. This desperate battlefield engineering was key to survival, paving the way for the more refined upgrade systems seen in later eras. Every piece of scrap mattered, sometimes converted into makeshift currency – the precursor to RustCoin – for essential field modifications.

Face the relentless horde, push back the tide, and uncover the brutal origins of the Zomborg threat.
